Industrial Visit – HLMANDO Pvt Ltd, Tennur

The Second-year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students (Section A) from B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, comprising 40 students, visited HLMANDO as part of an industrial exposure program. The students were accompanied by three faculty members. The primary objective of this visit was to observe and gain the knowledge about casting processing in Automobile Manufacturing Components.
The industrial visit to HLMANDO was a valuable experience for the students, offering them exposure to the latest advancements in casting manufacturing. HLMANDO endeavor to design and develop products that enhance the driving comfort and vehicle safety. Their product range is known for incorporating globally recognized standards and innovative designs.

The first-year postgraduate students studying Product Development course visited Aum Dacro Coating Pvt. Ltd. to understand the role of surface engineering in enhancing product performance, durability, and lifecycle. The visit provided exposure to how coating technologies are integrated into the product development cycle, especially in automotive and engineering components.
The visit provided a strong connection between product development concepts and industrial practices. Students were able to understand how surface engineering contributes to product performance, durability, and sustainability. This experience will help them in applying these concepts in real-world product design.
Industry Visit – Arrow Coach Builders
As Part of The Curriculum for The Automobile Engineering Subject (7th Semester), Students of B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Visited Arrow Coach Builders, Madurantakam on 21st August 2025. The Objective of The Visit Was to Gain Practical Exposure to Automobile Body Building, Coach Design, And Related Manufacturing Processes, Which Supplement the Theoretical Knowledge Acquired in The Classroom.
Industrial Visit – Grundfos Pumps India Private Limited, Chennai

On 13th August 2025, the students of VII Semester Mechanical Engineering (Section B) from B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology visited the Grundfos manufacturing facility located in Chennai. Grundfos is a globally recognized leader in advanced pump solutions and water technology, known for its innovation and sustainability-driven approach.
The visit also included exposure to the Research and Development (R&D) section, where students learned about ongoing innovations in pump technology. Emphasis was given to energy efficiency, sustainability, and smart water solutions.
The industrial visit to Grundfos, Chennai was highly informative and beneficial for the students of VII Semester Mechanical Engineering (Section B). It provided valuable insights into real-world industrial practices and enhanced the students’ understanding of manufacturing processes and technological advancements.
Industry Visit – Caterpillar India Private Limited
As part of our academic program, we had the opportunity to visit Caterpillar India Pvt. Ltd., located in Thiruvallur, on 22/07/2025. The visit was organized for students of the [B. tech, Mechanical Engineering], with the aim of giving us firsthand exposure to industrial practices and helping us understand how engineering concepts are applied in real-world settings.
Industry Visit – M/s HVAC Air Space Ltd
On 23/04/2025, our class visited a coworking office building under construction at Jafferkhanpet, Chennai, to observe the ongoing installation of the building’s air conditioning and ventilation systems. The building comprises 6 above-ground floors (offices), a ground floor (car parking only), and 1 underground floor (future office space and utility). The purpose of the visit was to gain practical exposure to modern HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and Mechanical ventilation systems, their design considerations, and site implementation.

HL Mando Anand is a leading manufacturer of automotive components in India, formed through a joint venture between HL Mando Corporation (South Korea) and the Anand Group (India). The company specializes in producing critical vehicle systems such as braking, suspension, and advanced Electronic Power Steering units.
Industry Visit – Thejo Pvt. Ltd
The students from III Year Mechanical Engineering B Section of B.S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology embarked on an industrial visit to the manufacturing facility of Thejo Engineering Ltd. located in Ponneri, Chennai on 17.4.25. An Airconditioned bus was provided by the institute for the travel to the industry from the institute. Our faculty members Dr. A. Arockia Julias and Mr. S. Loganathan accompanied the students.
The primary objective of the visit was to provide students with practical insights into the operations and manufacturing processes of a leading industrial organization, focusing on Rubber products manufacturing.
Industry Visit – Mono Tech Ltd
On 15.04.2025 a group of 19 students of VI Sem B.Tech Mechanical Shift II, Mr. M. Balasrinivasan, Dr. S. Ravikumar and Dr. Serajul Haq have visited 3DMonotech, located in Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai. The purpose of the visit was to gain insights into the operations of a leading company in the field of 3D printing technology and to understand the applications and implications of additive manufacturing in various industries.

The visit provided valuable insight into the real-world functioning of a leading Tier-1 auto component supplier.
