B.B.A. (General)
Programme Educational Objectives
- Provide a very conducive environment that holistically engages students through an all- encompassing knowledge impartation.
- Widen the scope and depth of the course enabling them to undertake further studies in commerce and its allied areas on multiple disciplines concerned with commerce.
- Construct a sound theoretical footing.
- Acquainting students with recent market practices.
- Encourage the students to advance a range of generic skills helpful in employment, internships, and social activities.
- Formulating business problems and provide innovative solutions to enable the students to be future ready management leaders who are compassionate and yet efficient.
Programme Outcomes
On successful completion of the programme, the graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate competence in institute level specialized knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Marketing, Management and Business Laws‟ specialization as a solution to complex real-world problems.
- Use appropriate knowledge and skills to identify, formulate, analyze and solve complex problems in order to reach substantiated conclusions; able to comprehend solution to sustain problems originating in the diverse management areas such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, and Taxation.
- Conduct investigations of complex problems by methods that include appropriate experiments, analysis, and interpretation of data and synthesis of information in order to reach valid conclusions. Search for, locate, extract, organise, evaluate, and use or present information that is relevant to a particular topic; identify the developments in various branches of Commerce and Business.
- Design solutions for complex, open-ended problems and to design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate attention to health and safety risks, applicable standards, and economic, environmental, cultural and societal considerations. Ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking by understanding the concepts in every area of Commerce and Business; ability to examine the results and apply them to various problems appearing indifferent branches of Commerce and Business.
- Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern accounting and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex activities with an understanding of the limitations; Capable to use various technical ICT tools (like spreadsheet) for exploring, analysis, and using the information for business purposes.
- Work effectively as a member and leader in teams, preferably in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Communicate complex concepts within the profession and with society at large. Such ability includes reading, writing, speaking and listening, and the ability to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, and to give and effectively respond to clear instructions
- Understanding the roles and responsibilities of the professional in society, especially the primary role of protection of the public and the public interest.
- Analyze social and environmental aspects of activities. Such ability includes an understanding of the interactions that Commerce has with the economic, social, health, safety, legal, and cultural aspects of society, the uncertainties in the prediction of such interactions; and the concepts of sustainable design and development and environmental stewardship.
- Apply professional ethics, accountability, and equity. Able to ascertain unethical behaviour, falsification, and manipulation of information: To manage self and various social systems.
- Incorporate economics and business practices including project, risk, and change management into the practice and to understand their limitations. Capable to work independently in diverse projects and ensure detailed study of various facets of Commerce and Business.
- Motivate learners for lifelong learning abilities such as information-handling, entrepreneurial skills, self-esteem, decision-making, problem-solving, self-management, empathy, tolerance of others, creativity, a sense of humour, flexibility, adaptability, versatility, critical judgment, thinking, planning, practical skills, learning-to-learn, discussing and communicating, create values for life and build their character for lifetime.

- To give comprehensive knowledge of Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Law, Economics, Tax and a coherent understanding of business operations and management to take up roles in managerial position across diverse industries.

MBA in Real Estate Management (REM)
The MBA in Real Estate Management (REM), offered in collaboration with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), is a specialized, industry-oriented programme designed to develop professionals for the evolving real estate and built environment sectors.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a globally recognized professional body that promotes and enforces international standards in land, property, construction, and infrastructure. With a presence in over 150 countries, RICS qualifications are highly valued by employers worldwide.
Curriculum
The curriculum integrates core management principles with specialized real estate expertise. The programme is structured to build leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills through the following focus areas:
- Core Real Estate Domains: In-depth knowledge of land use, planning and regulation, development, investment, asset management, and valuation.
- Technical Proficiency: Coverage of urban economics, accounting and financial principles, property markets, and corporate real estate.
- Sustainability and Ethics: A focus on the sustainable built environment, legal frameworks, and professional ethics.

Ph.D. in Management
Overview
The Ph.D. in Management offered by the Crescent School of Business is a rigorous research programme designed to develop scholars, academicians, industry professionals, and aspiring researchers capable of contributing to the advancement of management knowledge and practice. The programme fosters original research in contemporary business and management domains while addressing emerging challenges faced by organizations, industries, and society.
Since introducing the doctoral programme in 2009, the School has established a vibrant research ecosystem that promotes interdisciplinary inquiry, industry relevance, and academic excellence. Research scholars benefit from the guidance of experienced faculty members, access to institutional resources, and opportunities to engage with contemporary management issues of national and global significance.
Currently, the CSB has 10 Recognised research Supervisors and 39 Research Scholars on roll .
23 scholars have graduated so far with  Ph.D. Degree.
Admission Cycle
Admissions to the Ph.D. Programme are conducted twice every year:
- January Session
- July Session
Prospective candidates are encouraged to identify their research interests and interact with potential research supervisors before submitting their applications.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme in Management shall possess any one of the following qualifications:
Educational Qualification
- A One-Year / Two-Semester Master’s Degree after a Four-Year / Eight-Semester Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
OR
- A Two-Year / Four-Semester Master’s Degree after a Three-Year Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade.
OR
- An equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited and recognized by the appropriate statutory authority in its home country.
Discipline-Specific Qualification
Applicants should possess any one of the following qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master of Management Studies (MMS)
- Two-Year Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management/Administration or related specializations approved by AICTE
- Postgraduate qualification awarded by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs)
- Equivalent postgraduate qualification recognized by AICTE or other statutory bodies
Relaxation of Marks
A relaxation of 5% marks or equivalent grade may be granted to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and other categories as per UGC and Institute regulations.
Modes of Registration
The Ph.D. Programme is offered under the following modes:
Full-Time Mode
Designed for candidates who can dedicate themselves exclusively to research activities on campus.
Part-Time Mode
Suitable for academicians, professionals, and industry practitioners who wish to pursue doctoral research while continuing their employment, subject to the regulations of the Institute.
Duration of the Programme
The duration of the programme shall be counted from the date of registration.
Minimum Duration
- Three (3) Years including coursework for Full-Time scholars.
- Four (4) Years for eligible Part-Time scholars, wherever applicable under the Institute regulations.
Maximum Duration
- Six (6) Years from the date of admission for all categories of scholars.
The duration includes successful completion of coursework, research work, publication requirements, thesis submission, and viva-voce examination.
Admission Process
Admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall be made through either of the following routes:
Category I: National-Level Fellowship/Eligibility Tests
Candidates who have qualified in any of the following examinations may be considered for admission through an interview process:
- UGC-NET
- Other equivalent national-level examinations recognized by the Institute
Category II: Institute Entrance Examination
Candidates who do not possess the above qualifications may apply through the Institute’s Entrance Examination.
Entrance Test Pattern
- 50% on Research Methodology
- 50% on  Subject-Specific Knowledge in Management
Eligibility for Interview
Candidates securing 50% of marks  in the Entrance Examination shall be eligible to appear for the Interview/Viva-Voce.
A relaxation of 5% marks in the entrance examination shall be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Differently-Abled, EWS, and other categories as prescribed by regulatory authorities.
Selection Criteria
For candidates admitted through the Institute Entrance Examination, the final merit shall be based on:
