Mr. Arul Rajkumar



Professor of Practice

Arul Rajkumar is an experienced IT professional with 30+ years of work experience in multi-national companies. He last worked as a Senior Director and Vice President in Ford Business Solutions, part of Ford Motor company, managing global IT operations in Employee IT Experience, Digital Workplace and Digital Transformation.

He is a graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University. He has multiple certifications on technology and management streams, including AI and Business Analytics from Said Business School, Oxford University.

He started as an IT Quality control engineer in an IT Hardware company and then moved on to Ford, worked in various IT departments in India and abroad. He was instrumental in setting up the entire IT infrastructure in the Ford’s Chennai Manufacturing Plant in late nineties. He was the Asia Pacific IT Strategy manager for 4 years, based out of Shanghai in China.

Arul Rajkumar has been an active member of Academic Councils and governance committees of different universities and colleges, as an industry representative. He has delivered many guest lectures in colleges on various topics. He is also an active speaker in seminars and industry events on various topics including IT, Automotive and management topics.

He has actively worked in campus hiring programs for Ford and worked on unique programs like ‘campus to corporate transition’. He has coached and mentored 200+ employees for career development in his role as a senior management professional.

Arul was an active member of Learning and Development (L&D) organization in Ford for several years, conducting sessions on various technical courses, management concepts and soft skills development for the employees.

He is currently an independent consultant on Digital Transformation, AI and Analytics for companies and startups. He is a certified career counsellor, helping students and professionals for their career planning and coaching.
