Alumni Testimonials

Mohamed Illyas Ceetheragath, Co-Founder / Director, Highscope Engineering, UAE / KSA, Batch (1998 – 2002)

As an alumnus of Crescent Engineering College, my journey there was nothing short of remarkable. The campus, with its lush greenery and abundance of trees, provided a peaceful and inspiring backdrop for my studies. Sharing the football ground with crescent school created a unique sense of community and connection that I cherished throughout my time there. The faculties at Crescent were exceptional, always pushing us to explore new ideas and reach our full potential. Their dedication and support played a crucial role in shaping my academic and professional path. One of the highlights of my time at Crescent was being selected as the General Secretary of the Instrumentation and Control Engineering department in my final year. This role allowed me to develop leadership skills and work closely with my peers and professors, further enriching my college experience. My Bachelor of Engineering degree from Crescent has been a cornerstone of my professional journey, providing me with the skills and confidence needed to excel in my career. I am proud to be a part of the Crescent family and will always treasure the memories and friendships made during my time there.

P. Abdul Rahman, Manager (Scientist/Engineer-SG) Dhawan Space Centre, ISRO, Sriharikota. Batch (2000 – 2004)

My journey in the Instrumentation & Control Engineering Department at Crescent Engineering College was transformative—taking me from a student in a remote village to becoming a Senior Scientist at ISRO. The dedicated professors helped me build a solid foundation in engineering principles, and they fostered practical expertise through hands-on experiments, projects, and paper presentations. Their deep knowledge and enthusiasm for their fields truly ignited my passion for instrumentation & control engineering. The excellent lab facilities, industrial visits, and emphasis on in-plant training provided invaluable real-world exposure. Responsibilities in organizing co- and extracurricular activities, coupled with a supportive environment, enabled me to flourish academically and develop critical thinking skills. Ultimately, these experiences prepared me for a successful career in the automation division of the space industry.

Hari Krishnan, R & D manager, Process Instrumentation, Schneider Electric Systems USA Inc, Batch (2000-2004)

I am a proud Alumnus of Crescent’s Instrumentation and Control Engineering department. It is an honor to have received outstanding education from amazingly knowledgeable and passionate professors and teaching staff. The Electronics, Instrumentation and control labs had the best equipment for hands on experience. Overall, it provided me a wonderful environment and opportunity to learn and develop a solid foundation and love for this domain which I still carry after all the years.
