    • As a part of RSDC training, “Specialized Training in Rubber Technology” for Final year students was arranged at Rubber Training Institute, Rubber Board, Kottayam, Kerala from 2nd January 2018 to 6th January 2018.

Innovative Projects

B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology plays a vital role in motivating the students to incorporate the theoretical knowledge into practical in an innovative way. As a part, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Innovation Centre was inaugurated on 15th October 2015 by Dr. Akhtar Badshah, Chief catalyst, catalytic innovators group presided by Chairman Mr. Abdul Qadir A. Rahman Buhari in B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology.

Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, (2014-2018) Batch student won 1st prize, worth cash prize of Rs.1.5Lakh/- Most Innovative Start-up Award in ENANTRA, Entrepreneurship Festival organised by EDII, Tamilnadu and Anna University on 9.02.2019-10.2.2019.

The project was exhibited at “INNOCONTEST” at A.P.J Abdul Kalam innovation center, B.S.A.R. Crescent Institute of Science and Technology held on November 2016. The project has been funded by A.P.J Abdul Kalam innovation center, of Rs. 10,000 in phase I and Rs. 5,000 in phase II.

This Project won third prize at “INNOCONTEST” at A.P.J Abdul Kalam innovation center, B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology held on 27th April 2016.

Twelve innovative projects were displayed in the Innovation centre. One of the B.Tech Project was selected and the project model was displayed in APJ Abdul Kalam Innovation centre on 15th October 2015.

Industrial Visits

The Department of Polymer Engineering organized one day NABL accredited laboratory visit to Indian Rubber Materials Research Institute (IRMRI), Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, for the B.Tech – IV Year students (2021- 2025) on 19th October 2024. The 26 final year students and faculty member Dr.Basanta Kumar Behera visited the sophisticated rubber and polymer testing laboratory which is under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India to gain knowledge about the various testing and characterization techniques for the tyre and polymer industries.
