KILAKARAI BHUHARI AALIM (KBA) Men’s hostel is located in the BS Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology premises. The hostel provides a serene atmosphere for studying and overall development of the students. The hostel has 7 Blocks with 717 rooms which can accommodate 2859 students. The non-AC rooms are 3 sharing, 4 sharing, 5 sharing and whereas AC rooms are 3 sharing and 5 sharing and single sharing types. Apart from the Wi-Fi facility in all blocks, a browsing center with 28 systems is established for educational purpose. Ample facilities are provided for the students to participate in sports activities. Play areas like Badminton court and volley ball court and 16 station Gym are in the hostel premises.TV Hall, Recreation Hall with newspaper and indoor games are available for the students to have quality time in the evening hours. Tasty and variety of Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food is provided in the hostel. There is a separate dining hall for vegetarian and north indian students with appropriate menu. Discipline is the foremost of the hostel. 24×7 medical facility is available in the hostel. Special coaching classes by the faculty and peer assisted learning by research scholars are conducted for the benefit of students in the evening hours. Study Hours are meticulously followed to facilitate students to concentrate on studies. In short the facilities, food and the good ambience of the hostel will make students to feel “Hostel is a Home, away from Home.”

HOSTEL RULES AND REGULATIONS
  1. Students must be punctual to classes, Mess Hall, Night Study Hour etc.
  2. Students should not stay in the hostel during class hours, Electricity will be stopped
  3. Regular Absentees to classes, monthly tests, and end semester examination irregular to class will not be permitted to continue to stay in the Hostel.
  4. Admission and continued stay in the hostel depend upon academic performance, good behavior and conduct.
  5. The hostel rooms must be kept neat and clean. Keeping any prohibited items will be a serious offence and liable for punitive action.
  6. No students are permitted to leave Hostel / College campus without authorized Gate pass issued by their RT or Hostel officials the students will not be permitted to leave or enter the hostel after 8 PM without (getting prior) Gate pass obtained from R.T for valid reason
  7. No hosteller is permitted to stay out of the hostel beyond 8.00 PM.
  8. The hostellers are personally responsible to safeguard their belongings. They shall not keep large amount of cash or valuables like gold ring, chain, costly wristwatch, Mobile phone etc., in their rooms. In case of loss management will not take any responsibilities.
  9. Regular late comers, late going students to college will be expelled from the hostel.
  10. Study hour will be observed from 9.00 PM to 10:30 PM daily for all the students. During study hours, students should be present in their respective rooms so, as to enable the Resident Tutors to take attendance. During this period, the inmates should be maintain perfect silence in the hostel.
  11. Whenever a student leaves the hostel during holidays, vacations, or weekends for valid reasons, he has to inform the hostel authorities and obtain the gate pass. He should write the time of departure and the time of re-entry at the hostel security gate also biometric in / out is to be registered.
  12. Damaging the hostel property warrants expulsion from the hostel.
  13. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the Institute Campus and Hostel. Any Violation will be punished as per Govt. of India/ Govt. of Tamil Nadu rules in force.
  14. Keeping any power-driven two-wheeler / four-wheeler vehicles in the hostel / college campus is not permitted.
  15. Student must maintain discipline and silence in the hostel premises. Creating mess nuisance or disturbance to others will make them liable for severe punitive action. Indulging in any form of instigation/ intimidation / threat to any other hostellers will lead to expulsion from the hostel immediately.
  16. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Gambling in any form such as playing cards (even without money at stake), Consumption of alcohol, use of drugs and narcotics and even possession of such things are not only prohibited but lead to the expulsion from the hostel and rustication from the Institute also.
  17. Celebrating birthday parties inside the hostel, playing in the floor is strictly prohibited.
  18. Whenever the hostellers leave the hostel premises they must wear full pant, shirt/T-shirt. Only for the sports activities track suits / shorts are permitted.
  19. The students must follow the mess timings strictly. Mess will be closed after the specified mess timings. (Break Fast-7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, Lunch-12:15 PM to 2:00 PM and Dinner – 7:30 PM to 8.45 PM).
  20. The students must show their original Identity card wherever demanded by Security Staff / Hostel Authorities.
  21. Hostellers should not bring any day scholars or outsiders to the hostel. Defaulters will be dealt with
  22. Students must follow all the rules and regulations as prescribed by the authorities then and there
  23. First year students must not visit the senior’s rooms and vice versa.
  24. AC Room Students should not allow to stay non-AC Room students in their Room.
  25. AC timing is from 4:15 PM to Next day Morning 07:00 AM. Other than Holidays.
  26. Students are not permitted to use Iron box, Kettle, indexation stove, Additional fans and other electrical appliances and egg boiler
  27. Re-allotment of Hostel accommodation to old students for the next academic session is subject to the condition that they had 75% attendance with good academic & discipline record during the previous year
