ETHICAL TRAINING PROGRAMMES
B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology conducted Ethical training programs, are designed for both students and staff to promote a culture of integrity and accountability. These programs emphasize professional ethics, mutual respect, and adherence to institutional values in academic and workplace environments. Regular workshops, awareness sessions, and guest lectures help participants understand ethical responsibilities in teaching, learning, and research. The institute encourages transparent practices and responsible decision-making among all members of the campus community. Such initiatives contribute to creating a disciplined, value-driven, and socially responsible academic environment.
1. Workshop on GOAL – "Game-Oriented Active Learning"
The Crescent School of Law successfully hosted a one-day workshop on Game-Oriented Active Learning (GOAL) on April 9, 2025, at the Moot Court Hall, B.S.Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Vandalur, Chennai. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Ashraf Ali, Founder and Director of Life Academy, an internationally renowned corporate trainer and experiential learning expert.
The event commenced with a warm inaugural session. Prof.Dr. C.Chockalingam, Dean of Crescent School of Law, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the value of playful learning in academic and personal growth. Through a series of highly engaging sessions, Mr. Ashraf introduced game-based learning techniques, puzzles, and group activities that emphasized leadership, creativity, teamwork, and adaptive strategies.
The day was marked by vibrant participation from students of Ist year B.A.,LL.B(Hons), who engaged in reflective and strategic exercises such as Tangram puzzles, logic challenges, and collaborative games like the Tangle and Hula Hoop Challenge.
The workshop concluded with a valedictory session and the distribution of certificates. Mrs. I.Samsul Sameera, Assistant Professor of Crescent School of Law, delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the students, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the resource person and dignitaries. The event left a lasting impact, reinforcing the power of immersive, game-based education.
2. Seven Days Faculty Capacity Building & Professional Advancement Programme
The seven-day Faculty Capacity Building and Professional Advancement Program was inaugurated by Dr. Ayub Khan Dawood Dean, School of Social Sciences and Humanities and Dr. K. Soundarapandiyan, Head of the Department. The resource person for Day 1 was Dr. Praveen Kumar, Associate Professor at the School of Business and Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore.
3. Guest Lecture on the topic of Business Intelligence for Decision Making
Dept. of Commerce organize a guest lecture on the topic of Business Intelligence for Decision Making on 29.07.2024. It was delivered by Dr. Vijayan Sugumaran, a distinguished Professor of Management Information Systems from Oakland University, USA. The lecture was attended by 70 scholars, students, and faculty members, marking a successful event filled with insightful discussions and learning.
4. Two-Day Workshop on “Empowering Skills For Academic And Career Excellence”
A Two–Day Skill Development Workshop titled “Empowering Skills for Academic and Career Excellence” was conducted on 08.04.2026 & 09.04.2026 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at CA Lab 1 & 5. The Department of Computer Applications, School of Computer, Information and Mathematical Sciences (SCIMS), organized the event.
The resource persons of this workshop were Mr. K.S. Rajaraman, Founder Director – Aptrikz, Vedic Mathematics Specialist & TEDx Speaker, and Ms. Dhivya Dharshini, Founder – Enlingua Academy, TEFL & TOEFL Certified Trainer. The participants of the workshop were Master of Computer Applications students who actively engaged in the sessions to enhance their aptitude and language skills.
