DISABILITY SUPPORT SERVICES

The B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology (BSACIST) is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 10 (SDG 10), which aims to reduce inequalities and ensure that no one is left behind. The institution implements various measures to support differently- abled individuals and combat discrimination, thereby creating a more equitable educational landscape.

BSACIST recognises the importance of providing targeted support and access schemes for people with disabilities. It provides a range of facilities designed to support differently-abled students and faculty, ensuring they have equal access to education and resources. The available support services include:

1. Physical Facilities: Infrastructure designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities, including wheelchairs available for use.
2. Physical Provision for Lifts : Ensuring vertical mobility within the campus in key buildings like the Electrical Science Block, Mechanical Science Block, Life Science Block, and the Convention Centre.
3. Ramps and Rails : Facilitating easy access to buildings and facilities. Ramps are available at the Convention Centre, School of Pharmacy, Computer Science Block, Mechanical Science Block, Life Science Block, and the Canteen.
4. Braille Software : Enhancing accessibility for visually impaired individuals.
5. Rest Rooms : Equipped for the convenience of differently-abled users.
6. Scribes for Examinations : Providing assistance during assessments.
7. Special Skill Development Programs : Special Skill Development Programs: Tailored training initiatives to empower differently-abled students.
8. Battery Car : Providing transportation assistance within the campus.
9. Seat Reservation in College Bus : Ensuring accessible transportation to and from the institute.
10. Low Flooring in College Bus: Further enhancing accessibility in the college bus.
11. Pathway for Differently Abled People in Campus : Ensuring ease of navigation throughout the campus.
