About the Conference

The School of Electrical and Communication Sciences at B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology is organizing an International Conference on “Recent Trends in Electrical, Control, and Communication” (RTECC-25), scheduled for the 5th and 6th of August 2025. This conference is being organized in collaboration with Prince Sultan University, Riyadh, INTI International University, Malaysia, and UCSI University, Malaysia.

Conference theme

The conference theme, “Empowering Sustainable Growth and Innovations,” emphasizes the importance of sustainable development in modern engineering and technological practices. RTECC-25 aims to foster dialogue and collaboration across disciplines to address emerging challenges and drive innovation in key areas including:

Track 1: Electrical, Communication and Control Systems

  1. Renewable Energy Systems: Examining cutting-edge renewable technologies, such as solar, wind, and hydroelectric systems, for cleaner power generation and grid integration, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  2. Energy Management and Demand-Side Response: Investigating smart energy management solutions and demand response technologies to balance energy loads, enhance efficiency, and reduce peak demand on power grids.
  3. Electric Vehicle (EV) Technologies: Focusing on advancements in EV battery technology, charging infrastructure, and EV-grid integration for sustainable transportation solutions.
  4. Wireless and Wired Networks: Discussing improvements in 5G, fiber-optic networks, and other high-speed networking technologies to enable faster, more reliable communication.
  5. Multimedia Communications: Addressing data compression, video streaming, and content delivery systems that improve multimedia quality and user experience over digital platforms.
  6. Optical Networks: Exploring high-capacity optical fiber systems and Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) for efficient data transmission and reduced latency in telecommunications.
  7. Grid Computing and Cloud Computing: Covering distributed computing frameworks and cloud services, which allow scalable storage and processing power for complex applications and big data analytics.
  8. Cognitive Radio and Networks: Focusing on intelligent spectrum management and adaptive network protocols to improve spectrum efficiency and dynamic resource allocation.
  9. Communication and Information Systems Security: Highlighting cybersecurity in data transmission, encryption techniques, and protocols to protect sensitive information and maintain data integrity.
  10. Satellite and Space Communications: Exploring advancements in satellite communication, remote sensing, and global connectivity for both commercial and research applications.
  11. Intelligent Control Techniques: Emphasizing smart automation, adaptive control algorithms, and artificial intelligence applications in industrial processes and robotics for enhanced precision and efficiency.
  12. Instrumentation Systems and Automation: Discussing innovations in sensor technology, measurement systems, and automation for accurate monitoring and control in various engineering fields.

Track 2 : Informatics and Applications

 Image Processing and Applications: Exploring techniques in digital image enhancement, object detection, and pattern recognition, with applications across medical imaging, remote sensing, and quality control in manufacturing.

  1. Natural Language Processing (NLP): Examining advancements in language models, sentiment analysis, machine translation, and speech recognition to enhance human-computer interaction and text-based analytics.
  2. Healthcare Informatics: Focusing on data-driven approaches in healthcare, including electronic health records (EHR), predictive analytics, and telemedicine, to improve patient outcomes and streamline medical processes.
  3. Agricultural Informatics: Applying data analytics, remote sensing, and geographic information systems (GIS) in agriculture to optimize crop management, precision farming, and sustainable practices.
  4. Internet of Things (IoT): Discussing the integration of IoT devices and sensors in smart homes, cities, and industries, enabling real-time data collection and automation for efficient management and monitoring.
  5. Machine Learning: Covering developments in supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning models to solve complex problems in data analysis, predictive modeling, and intelligent decision-making.
  6. Robotics and Automation: Focusing on advancements in robotics, autonomous systems, and robotic process automation (RPA) for applications in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and other sectors.

Track 3: Intelligent System: Algorithms and Applications

  1. Artificial Neural Networks (ANN): Exploring advancements in neural network architectures and algorithms, such as feedforward, recurrent, and convolutional neural networks, for applications in image recognition, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
  2. Deep Learning Algorithms: Examining state-of-the-art deep learning techniques, including convolutional networks (CNN), recurrent neural networks (RNN), and transformers, to solve complex tasks in areas like autonomous systems, computer vision, and large-scale data analysis.
  3. Bio-Inspired Algorithms: Discussing algorithms inspired by biological processes, such as genetic algorithms, swarm intelligence, and neural mimicry, for optimization problems and adaptive learning.
  4. Nature-Inspired Algorithms: Covering optimization techniques inspired by natural phenomena, like particle swarm optimization, ant colony optimization, and genetic programming, applied in engineering, machine learning, and problem-solving tasks

 5.Computational Intelligence: Highlighting advances in intelligent computational methods, such as fuzzy systems, evolutionary computation, and hybrid models, which are widely used in adaptive control, pattern recognition, and real-time decision-making.
 6.Cybersecurity: Addressing modern cybersecurity challenges, including encryption, intrusion detection systems, threat intelligence, and blockchain security, to protect information systems and prevent cyber threats.

Title: Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Recent Trends in Electrical, Control, and Communication (RTECC’18)

The 1st International Conference on Recent Trends in Electrical, Control, and Communication (RTECC’18) was a significant event in the fields of electrical engineering, communication, and control systems, attracting experts, researchers, and industry leaders from across the globe. The conference featured 9 keynote lectures delivered by eminent resource persons, providing valuable insights into the latest trends and innovations in the respective fields. The keynote sessions were attended by around 200 participants, making it a highlight of the conference.

The conference received a total of 240 submitted papers, from which 80 papers were presented during the sessions. Out of the presented papers, 60 were selected for publication in IEEE Xplore, showcasing high-quality research and advancements in electrical, control, and communication engineering.

Track 1: Communication Engineering

  • SESSION EC 1: 7 papers focusing on cutting-edge communication technologies.
  • SESSION EC 2: 7 papers discussing emerging trends in wireless and optical communication systems.
  • SESSION EC 3: 6 papers examining the latest developments in multimedia communication and networking.
  • SESSION EC 4: 8 papers exploring future directions in communication systems, including 5G networks and IoT.

Track 2: Electrical Engineering

  • SESSION EE 1: 6 papers on electrical power systems, renewable energy, and energy management.
  • SESSION EE 2: 6 papers addressing smart grids, energy storage solutions, and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.
  • SESSION EE 3: 6 papers on the integration of sustainable technologies in electrical systems and electrical control devices.

Track 3: Controls & Instrumentation

  • SESSION EI 1: 7 papers on modern control techniques, automation systems, and advanced instrumentation.
  • SESSION EI 2: 7 papers discussing the application of control systems in industrial and real-time environments.

The proceedings of RTECC’18 encompass a rich array of papers spanning several disciplines of engineering, providing valuable insights into the future of electrical systems, communication technologies, and automation. With a focus on both theoretical research and practical applications, the proceedings highlight the transformative impact of innovations in these fields, aligning with global trends in sustainability, smart systems, and technological convergence.
